Katherine appear to be the classic “quick study” — she first picked up a Javelin in the spring of her freshman year, and before the end of the season she had broken the school freshman record. During the same season, she ran her first 100 meter hurdle race and won first place for Monmouth County freshmen. In her junior year, Katherine tried discus and broke the five year old school record. Now completing her senior year at Colts Neck High School, she will attend Sacred Heart University in the fall, where she plans to compete in the heptathlon on their Division I track program.
Katherine has delivered performances in the top ten in her school’s history in the following events: High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, 4×100 meter Hurdle Relay, High Jump Relay, 4 x 55 meter shuttle Hurdle Relay, Javelin Relays, Shot Put Relays and Discus Relays.
