2006 World Rowing ChampionAn Olympic Dream:

Every four years, over 1,000 American college graduates qualify for spots on Olympic teams. Their accomplishments require courage, skill, discipline, and unyielding drive. They also require financial sacrifice.

The U.S. Athletic Trust Mission:

To provide direct financial support and mentoring to qualified athletes with Olympic aspirations, thereby bringing to the top of their sport today’s athletic achievers who will become society’s leaders of tomorrow.

Silver Medalist 2000 Olympic GamesOnce these athletes graduate from college, most of the financial and logistical support they’ve been receiving usually ends. In many countries, their Olympic training costs would be subsidized. Not in the United States, where only about three percent of the expenditures of the United States Olympic Committee go directly to American athletes for training and living expenses.

U.S. Athletic Trust - a new, volunteer-driven model of sport philanthropy - was founded in 2000 to fill the gap.

You can help us achieve our mission by supporting the U.S. Athletic Trust!
