AUGUST L. WOLF graduated cum laude in 1983 from Princeton University with a degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of InternationalChairman & Founder Affairs. In 1984 he was U.S. National Champion, attained a personal best of 71′ 3½″, and represented the United States in the Olympic Games, placing 4th in the Shot-put. He currently works at Deutsche Bank in New York and is married with four children.

Sadly, the plight of today’s American college graduates with Olympic aspirations is no different than it was 20 years ago when I competed in the Los Angeles Olympic Games: an uphill struggle and an unknown national disgrace. Our country is passionate about the Olympic movement (witness the billions of dollars spent by NBC to broadcast the Games) and resources are available–yet 99% of our college graduate athletes literally struggle to continue to train outside the NCAA system. U.S. Athletic Trust will become the leading Olympic Sport NGO (non governmental organization), serving as a model of reform for the inadequate American postcollegiate athlete support system.
